Who we are
This website is operated by CeGo Tech LLC ("CeGo Tech", "we", "us"), an electrical engineering and installation company. This policy explains what information we collect through cegotech.com and how we use it.
Information we collect
When you submit a service request through this site, we collect the information you provide directly: your name, phone number, email (if given), service address, a description of the issue, and any photos you choose to attach. If you sign in to the staff dashboard, we also store your username and a securely hashed password - we never store passwords in plain text.
How we use it
We use this information to respond to your request, schedule and complete the work, and follow up about the job. We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising or share it with marketing companies.
Text messages (SMS)
Text messages are optional. Only if you tick the optional, unchecked-by-default SMS consent box when submitting a service request will CeGo Tech LLC send you text messages about that request - you can leave it unchecked and still use all of our services. Messages cover: confirmations, status updates, bills, payment receipts and reminders, and maintenance-plan reminders. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your mobile number and consent are shared only with our text-messaging provider (Twilio) for the purpose of delivering these messages.
Third parties that help us run the site
Address lookup: when you type an address into the request form, that text is sent to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service to confirm the location, and the map is served by OpenStreetMap's tile servers (osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy). Text messages are delivered by Twilio. Online card payments are processed by Helcim - card details are entered on Helcim's secure form and never reach our servers; we only keep the card type and last four digits for our records. Uploaded photos are stored with Cloudflare. Each of these providers only receives what it needs to perform its service.
Cookies
This site uses exactly one cookie: a session cookie that keeps a staff member signed in to the admin dashboard after they log in. It's set only when someone actually signs in - browsing the public site never sets any cookie. We don't use tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies of any kind.
How long we keep it
We keep service request records as part of our normal business history (scheduling, invoicing, and warranty reference). If you'd like your information removed, contact us and we'll take care of it.
Your information's security
Your information is stored in a database that only our staff can access after signing in. We take reasonable steps to keep it secure, but no online system is 100% guaranteed against every risk.

If how we handle information changes meaningfully, we'll update this page. Check back if you have concerns.
